It will engage principals on how the sector must adapt in view of current operational, political, economic, and financial challenges, oriented around the Reset's three strands: regroup, reform, and renew. It will ask principals to articulate what is needed, where there are gaps, what can be improved – including in seeking efficiencies – and to identify concrete solutions on how the sector can become lighter and more efficient in the immediate and longer term. This panel will discuss how humanitarian organizations should navigate a shifting global order and the rising influence of different actors in conflict areas, as well as how to build coherence in action among partners and between actors at HQ and the field. Lastly, the discussion will set the stage to dive deeper into the subsequent panels and will broadly inform a new strategic direction for the humanitarian system.Panelists:Mr. Tom Fletcher, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, OCHAMr. Jagan Chapagain, Secretary-General, International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC)Ms. Amy Pope, Director General, International Organization for Migration (IOM)Ms. Kelly Clements, Deputy High Commissioner, Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)Ms. Reena Ghelani, Chief Executive Officer, Plan InternationalDiscussants:Mr. Dominik Stillhart, Ambassador and Head of Humanitarian Aid, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC)Mr. Maciej Popowski, Director-General, Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO)H.E.
