Briefing by the Secretary-General to the Member States on the report of the "Review on the future of all forms of United Nations peace operations".
This report is submitted pursuant to the request by the General Assembly, in paragraph 42 (b) of the Pact for the Future (action 21), that the Secretary-General undertake a review on the future of all forms of United Nations peace operations. In the report, the Secretary-General describes the spectrum of United Nations peace operations, comprising peacekeeping operations and special political missions, in a changing geopolitical landscape and offers recommendations and commitments for resetting those operations for a new geopolitical era.
