As the United Nations reflects on its evolving role in a rapidly changing global landscape, there is growing recognition that renewed commitment, shared ownership, and broader participation are essential to shaping its future. Co-organized with civil society partners, this Special Event will open a programme of co-designed engagements and invite stakeholders to help shape the UN's future direction and practice.
Convened during the 2026 High-Level Political Forum, the event will connect the UN's renewal trajectory with its most recent flagship efforts, the Pact for the Future and the UN80 Initiative, anchoring a forward-looking dialogue on priorities for the next decades. It will also help set the tone for practical, sustained collaboration with civil society throughout the series of events and beyond.
