Mine Action as an enabler of peacebuilding, transitional justice, reconciliation and recovery: Lessons from Colombia and Cambodia
This session explores how mine action contributes to sustainable peace by supporting transitional justice, reconciliation, and post-conflict recovery beyond the clearance of explosive hazards. Drawing on the experiences of Colombia and Cambodia, it highlights lessons on restoring safe access to land, rebuilding trust, supporting victims, and integrating mine action into broader peacebuilding and development efforts.
