This high-level, multistakeholder round table will focus on how governments can strengthen fiscal systems to unlock and direct public resources toward sustainable development priorities.
Participants will explore how to raise and manage public revenue more effectively to support national sustainable development strategies. Discussions will include fiscal management and capacity building, tax reform and cooperation, combating illicit financial flows, subnational financing, and ways to improve transparency and accountability. The round table will also look at how public development banks can be better leveraged to mobilize long-term financing for sustainable development and how to strengthen MDBs cooperation with these institutions.
